Mohali, March 26, 2024: A two-day sports meet was organized at the Mohali campus of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU). This event was successfully completed on 20-21 March 2024.
In this sports meet, players showcased their sporting abilities and participated together in various sports competitions to win. It was organized under the guidance, command of Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. University Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra and Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Monica Sachdeva supported this meet as an initiative. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal in his message encouraged the students of the university to actively participate in sports along with studies. He congratulated that along with academic excellence, Mohali Campus is scaling new heights in sports and cultural fields.
Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Monica Sachdeva addressed the inaugural session of the sports meet. She said that the sports Festival is a platform where students get a chance to hone their sporting abilities and cooperate collectively. Dr. Harpreet Kaur played the role of coordinator in organizing this sports festival.
Dr. Deepika, Dr. Neeraj, Dr. Tarun, Dr. Vishwdeep and other staff members played an important role in making the function a success.
Dr. Geet, Deputy Registrar, Mohali Campus, shared the importance of this sports festival with the students. She said that sports are an important part of students' life, and they inculcate the spirit of competition, enthusiasm and spirit of victory in the lives of students.
Games like cricket, volleyball, table tennis and athletics etc. were included in this sports festival.
