IKGPTU organised various academic competitions on Engineering Day

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, September 16, 2024: A grand function with various events, activities, was organized on Engineering Day at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU). In the mentorship of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, all the academic departments jointly organized various competitions. The students participated in it with great enthusiasm. On Engineering Day, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal in his message inspired the engineering students to focus on innovation for the country's progress. Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra sent a congratulatory message to everyone for organizing the academic program on the special day.

Engineering Day celebrations began with lighting of the lamp, in which Dean Academics Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla, Dean R&D Prof (Dr) Yadvinder Singh Brar, Dean P&EP Dr. Hitesh Sharma, Dean Faculty Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia lit the lamp together. On this occasion, all the officers and students paid tribute to Sir M Visvesvaraya by offering flowers on his photo. Dean Academics Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla made the students aware of the history of this day.

Results of various competitions organized on this occasion
Extempore: In the Extempore competition, BBA third semester student Kumar Rahul stood first, B.Tech (CSE) first semester student Mani Sharma second and B.Tech (CSE) fifth semester student Nivedita stand third.
 
Selfie Point: In this competition, Shivam Nayak first, Jitin second and Mohit Kumar was third.
Sale on Spot: In this competition Alfred Nobel first, Harsimran second and Harsimran Singh Kang third.
Games: Team G-3 first, Team G-1 second and Team G-5 third.
Food Stall: Team F-13 first, Team F-10 second and Team F-5 third.
Waste of Wealth (Innovative): In this competition Kishore Kashyap-Neel Jain Paul first, Vikas Kumar second and Rohan Kumar-Prabh Arora third.
Graphic Design Competition: Pragma first, Lokesh second and Prabh was third.
Face Painting: Aman Kumar-Alok Rai first, Shalu and Natasha second, Riya and Nivedita third.
Quiz: Team members Dhruv, Arpit Dheer and Kamal Kishore first, team of Shivam Kumar, Aditya Kashyap, Rohit Kumar second, team of Aryan Garg, Arjun Singh and Abhishek was on third position.
Reel Feel: In this competition, Himanshu Sharma first, Nishant Kumar second and Sanjay Kumar third.
Rangoli: In this competition, team members Varun Thakur, Tanbir Singh and Smiley were first. Jaskiran Kaur, Armandeep Singh second and Rishma Katoch, Sabateerin and Saidip Kaur was third.
Coding: In this competition, team D first, team-L second and team A and team-K was third.
Bridge Using: In the first place, Mehakdeep, Daguplo Kaur and Damanpreet Kaur first. Tanish and Nishant Singh second. Harjeet Singh was third.
CAD-IT: Aman Ali first, Amritpal Singh second and Navjot Singh third of the list.
Hacking: Raj Yadav first, Vikas Kumar was on second position.
