Jalandhar/Kapurthala, November 14, 2023: IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) on Tuesday, paid tributes to its former Vice Chancellor N.S.Ratan (an IAS officer). Late N.S. Ratan passed away in Chandigarh on Monday. He was 82 years old. An IAS officer NS Ratan was the second Vice Chancellor of the University. He served as the Vice-Chancellor of the university from February 1999 to July 2000. While being Secretary Technical Education in the Government of Punjab, he was given the additional charge of Vice Chancellor of Punjab Technical University by the Government of Punjab, which he performed very well. The administrative reforms done by him in the university are always memorable.
On the occasion of the tribute ceremony in the university, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Susheel Mittal and the Registrar, Dr. S K Misra paid tribute by offering flowers on his portrait. On this occasion, a brief discussion was given about his important works by the Registrar of the University, Dr. S.K.Misra. Tribute was paid to him by keeping 02 minutes silence in the university. All the deans, officers, faculty members and students at the university were present on this occasion. The stage was conducted by Deputy Registrar Rajneesh Sharma.
