Illuminating Traditions: A Week of Diwali Spark and Spirit

Jalandhar, November 2, 2024: The Artifact club of DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur celebrated Diwali with a vibrant, week-long celebration filled with artistic competitions, spreading joy and creative spirit across the campus. The festivities aimed to emphasize the cultural significance of Diwali and promote sustainable celebrations.

Throughout the week, students enthusiastically participated in various competitions. The Rangoli competition showcased mesmerizing designs with traditional patterns and eco-friendly colors, highlighting cultural themes. The card making competition invited students to design Diwali cards with heartfelt messages, fostering creativity and expression.

In the candle decoration and diya decoration events, students artistically adorned candles and diyas, adding their own flair with intricate designs and colors. The thali decoration competition celebrated traditional Diwali rituals, with students creating beautiful thalis using flowers, colors, and symbols of prosperity. For the Vandhanvaar making competition, students crafted intricate decorative hangings symbolizing welcome and positivity. Finally, the classroom decoration competition transformed classrooms into festive spaces with lights, garlands, and artwork, bringing Diwali cheer to the entire school.

The week concluded with a message from Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, who praised the students' efforts and creativity, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Diwali with an eco-friendly approach. He encouraged students to cherish cultural values, respect traditions, and bring light into others' lives by spreading positivity and kindness. The celebration fostered not only artistic talent but also instilled a sense of responsibility toward sustainable and meaningful festivities.
