IMPETUS -2016, A Workshop For Professional Growth

Ludhiana, April 5, 2016: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Civil Lines Ludhiana, organized an interactive workshop “ Impetus 2016” for the students on Tuesday. The workshop was organized to enhance the awareness level and to have the professional skills of the budding pharmacists.
The program me was inaugurated by Director-Principal Dr.Arvinder Singh. He appreciated the efforts of the faculty students as these workshops encourage experimental learning which is necessary for the overall development of the students. Ms.Shikha Sehajpal H.O.D extended warm welcome to the distinguished guests and speakers.
Dr.Sandip Kaushal, Assistant Dean Academics and Head Department of Pharmacology Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana speaking on the occasion described what is safe handling of prescription and about the vital role of Pharmacist in healthcare team.
Dr.Harvinder Singh Sr. Consultant Pediatrician sensitized students on how to cope with “Examination Stress”.
Mr.Vir Vikram Singh, Assistant Manager in DMCH, Ludhiana, spoke on LASA i.e. Look alike sound alike drugs and what is safe use of drugs. Prizes were also distributed on the occasion for excellence in Academics and Declamation contest & sports, and then it was followed by Alumni-Meet-2016 of the college.
The workshop was also attend by faculty Mr. S.P.S.Bhatia, Dr. S.S.Luthra, Ms.Kamalpreet Sharma, Ms. Sania Grover, Ms. Mandeep Kaur and Ms. Amardeep Kaur.
