Importance of values in life
Author(s):

Undoubtedly, life of any body is very important but values in life are much more important guide lines to make us successful persons. Since childhood, we are taught by our parents and teachers to follow good habits of cleanliness, table manners, seriously learning our lessons and taking part in all important walks of life. The following are cherished ideals and beliefs that lead us to live purposeful life:  Discipline, love, respect, honesty, compassion, good health, determination and will power. Education gives us knowledge to differentiate between right and wrong path in our life. The other important requisites of life are: forgiveness, optimistic nature, loyalty, co-operation, and far-sighted vision.

A person with proper values will not be afraid of problems in life. There must be goal in life according to the aptitude of a person to become farmer, scientist, doctor, army officer, engineer, I.A.S. officer, P.C.S. officer, journalist etc. Any profession needs hard work. It is well known statement that hard work and intelligence followed by good guidance leads to success. Success never depends on comforts and resources but depends on will-power and boldness. A person without goal is doomed to work for a man having a goal.

It does not matter, how old we are or how much we have seen the World. What matters how many lessons of life we have learnt and experienced for the development of consciousness level of self.

When we read the biography of renowned people such as patriotic person Mahatma Gandhi, poet Rabindranath Tagore, scientist Albert Einstein, we appreciate, how personal values guided them to reach at the top.

According to the father of India Mahatma Gandhi, if wealth is lost, nothing is lost; If health is lost something is lost; if character is lost, everything is lost. Advancement in character is the core for the development of self and country.

Albert Einstein stated – try not to become a man of success, rather to become a man of values.

Anybody lives in two Worlds- outer and inner, physical and subtle (mental). Outer World includes in which we are known by our name, profession and status in the society. It can give us temporary happiness but not mental peace, so long we continue our profession. The most important is subtle World (mental World). Our all positive thoughts uplift to impart us blissful mental peace known as spiritual bliss. To look good, is the nature of physical World whereas to be good, is the true nature of our soul.

We are, what our desires are;

As we desire, so we plan;

As we plan, so we act;

As we act, so we get fruits known as our destiny.

Last but not the least, I am confident to say that moral values are essential building blocks of our foundation to shape us to know the importance of values in life.
