Kejriwal's selfless service to protesting farmers has won hearts of Punjabi
Ludhiana: Impressed by the innumerable public-centric works being carried out under the visionary leadership of Delhi Chief Minister and National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, a large number of selfless people joined the Aam Aadmi Party in Ludhiana today.
Aam Aadmi Party Punjab senior leader and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema, Deputy Leader of Opposition and MLA Bibi Sarabjit Kaur Manuke and State Secretary Amandeep Singh Mohi inducted the leaders into the party fold.
Surinder Saini, an old Congress leader from Ludhiana since 1985, joined the AAP. A close associate of Congress MLA Surinder Kumar Dawar, Surinder Saini joined the party impressed by Kejriwal's policies.
Raman Chandi from Payal constituency, who served as the District President of Punjab Youth Congress from 2006 to 2008, was the other stalwart joining the party. Chandi, a municipal councilor and opposition leader in the Payal Municipal Council from 2015 to 2020, said on the occasion that Punjab CM had made many promises to the people during the 2017 Assembly elections but had reneged on every promise he made.
Baljinder Pal Bhaskar, General Secretary, Nambardar Union Pyal, while joining the AAP on the occasion appreciated the Aam Aadmi Party's role in providing all facilities to the protesting farmers.
Speaking on the occasion Harpal Cheema said that the Capt. Amarinder Singh government had failed to fulfill any of the pre-poll promises made to every section of the society. He said that during the farmers' agitation the Aam Aadmi Party had served the farmers in the best possible way.
