In remembrance of Bhagat Singh, CT University holds a Blood Donation Camp
Nukkad Natak Highlighted the menace of Drug Abuse and effect of Bhagat Singh on Youth
Ludhiana, March 22, 2023: In Remembrance of Bhagat Singh, Department of Student welfare in association with Hindustan Welfare blood Donors club (Regd.) organized a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ under the guidance and supervision of Civil Hospital Jalandhar. A Nukkad Natak by Kranti Kala Manch, Moga was presented highlighting the menace of drug abuse.
Remembering the irrepressible revolutionary spirit of Bhagat Singh, The Staff of CT University tied ‘Basanti’ coloured turbans.
Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Chancellor, CT University said, “The basanti turban not only symbolises Bhagat Singh’s revolutionary ideals, but also the hope and zeal of the people of the state who want to see Punjab prosper.”
During the blood Donation camp, More than 100 students and faculty members donated their blood voluntarily. A contingent of 08 team members comprising doctors and technicians from Hindustan Welfare blood Donors club (Regd.) and Civil Hospital Jalandhar contributed effectively to the camp. The students were counselled on the safety and significance of Blood Donation in societal interest.
After Donating blood, Deputy Director Department of Student Welfare Er. Davinder highlighted the importance of Blood Donation which can help to save thousands of lives. He inspired the students to come forward and donate blood to safeguard the lives of others.
Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh said, “We strongly believe in sensitizing our students towards developing social sensitivities and a strong need for blood donation drives amongst the youth of the country towards the cause.”
On this occasion CT University’s Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor (off.) Dr. Satish Kumar, Registrar Sarabpreet Singh, Deputy Director Department of Student Welfare Er. Davinder Singh and Other Faculty members, Students were present.
