Seated on the throne of reality television, COLORS’ ‘BIGG BOSS’ bids farewell to the nation after triumphantly continuing its legacy of capturing a plethora of human emotions. In a crescendo of drama, emotion and unbridled entertainment, India’s favourite show arrived at its grand finale and its roaring success echoed across India after commanding record-shattering viewership while sparking social media fervour for four months straight. This season of India's beloved reality show has attracted 162 million viewers and accumulating 92 billion viewing minutes. It dominated the non-fiction category, leaving a significant mark on social media with a reach of 34.1 billion, 15 billion views, 2.3 billion conversations, and a 99% share of voice.
The show was hosted by Dabangg host Salman Khan. He lived up to the promise of the season’s theme Iss baar game nahin hoga sabke liye same to same as viewers witnessed how the mantras of Dil, Dimaag and Dum played out, making the game even more unpredictable. As the curtains closed on 17 weeks of alliances, rivalries, and unforeseen challenges, Salman Khan announced the audience’s favourite and handed the winner’s trophy to Munawar Faruqui. The winner earned the prize money of Rs 50 lac and a brand-new Hyundai Creta. Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra were the first and second runners-up who gave the victor a tough fight, leaving the viewers in nail-biting suspense.
Entering the show with a poetic flair that had star guests clamoring for more, Munawar charmed everyone with his shayari. Putting his comic timing to work, his razor-sharp comebacks left the audience in splits. Initially seen as an unbeatable force, contestants feared challenging his strategic moves and fandom. However, as the show unfolded, Ayesha unveiled a vulnerable side, exposing cracks in his armour. Despite acing tasks and handling controversies with finesse, he couldn't escape the mockery for relying on Salman Khan's feedback on 'Weekend Ka Vaar'. His friendship with Mannara, his first best friend in the house, sparked the creation of the season's trending hashtag - #Munnara. They were often summoned to the confession room for fun conversations, raising eyebrows in the house. Known for his humour and observations, he kept the entertainment alive, even when faced with scathing allegations by Ayesha. Family reinforcements came for him in the form of his sister, praising him as the family's backbone, while fans stood firmly by his side. In a thrilling conclusion to the season, superstar Salman Khan took center stage, joined by Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, who graced the finale with their charm and elegance while promoting their upcoming film, "Shaitaan". The excitement soared as Madhuri Dixit and Suneil Shetty graced the stage, promoting the upcoming dance reality show, "Dance Deewane". The reunion of "Hum Aapke Hai Kaun" happened with the dynamic host Salman Khan and the evergreen Madhuri Dixit. Both Salman and Madhuri recreated scenes from "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun", giving fans a tinge of nostalgia. The atmosphere bubbled with laughter as Bharti Singh infused the set with her trademark humor, joined by Sohail and Arbaaz Khan.
Adding to the merriment, comedian Krushna Abhishek, transformed into various characters alongside Sudesh Berry, injecting a delightful dose of fun into the proceedings.
