In the times of petrol price hike, CT University launches ‘eBike’

Ludhiana: Keeping in mind the burgeoning petrol prices, Researchers and Innovators of CT University came up with an idea and have launched an eBike.

Students named Rahul Thareja of B.Tech (1st year) (Robotics and Automation) and Satyam Gupta of BCA (2nd year) have made this cost-effective E-Bike under 15000 Indian rupees only, under the guidance of Dr. Harmeet Singh, Er. Inderjeet Singh, Er. Dinesh Kumar and Lab Technician Gurkirat Singh.

Meanwhile, Dr. Harmeet Singh added, “This eBike has a range of 30Km in a single battery charge and a top speed of 28Km/hr. We have used a motor of 24v 250 watts and a Battery of 24V 12.5 Ampere. The speed and the range of the bike are increased by changing the motor and the battery.” The whole structure of the eBike was built in the university itself within 1 week. This eBike is fully customisable according to the shape as well as carrying capacity. The next electric vehicle on which we are working is 2-seater eCar.”

CTU Managing Director Manbir Singh and Vice Chancellor Dr Harsh Sadawarti congratulated the team and appreciated the students to have learning and fun along with research and innovation.
