Chandigarh, August 7, 2024: A meeting of the Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Amit Chauhan, SSP, Kanwardeep Kaur (IPS), DSP Central Gurmukh Singh, Wardens, Vikram Singh, Chief of University Security, PU was held with representatives of various Students Organizations at PU Campus on Wednesday, in the Committee Room, 2nd floor, Student Centre, P.U. Chandigarh:
Keeping in view the forthcoming PUCSC Election, following instructions were given to the students:
• Students of Panjab University are responsible persons, therefore, they should not indulge in violence. Strict action will be taken against the students involved in illegal activities.
• Representatives of all the Students Organizations are advised not to involve in ragging activities. They should also counsel the students not to indulge in such activities. Party President/Secretary of the concerned party will be held responsible for any type of violence.
• Any types of weapons are not allowed at the Campus. Licensed weapons are also banned.
• All Students’ Organizations at PU Campus advised not to resort to deface buildings, walls, trees, floors, poles etc. on the Campus, as the same is punishable under the “Defacement Act”.
• Outsiders/guests (who are not students of the University) are not allowed entry of Hostels/PU Campus.
• Vehicles (Car/bike/scooter etc.) Rally is not allowed at PU campuses.
• Students should always carry their identity cards/fee slips with them.
• PU Campus be not used for conducting meeting with any political leader/party. Action will be taken against party president/secretary if any party found involved in such activity.
