In view of covid 19, Ludhiana DM-cum-DC suspends some works

Ludhiana: In view of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19), District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal has suspended the work related to issuing disability certificates, dope tests and medical certificates for Amarnath Yatra till March 31, 2020.
He said that a large number of people visit Sewa Kendras for getting their disability certificates made, whereas a large number of people also visit Civil Hospital for their dope tests regarding arms license and medical certificates for Amarnath Yatra.
He said that in view of the directions received from Secretary Health-cum-Mission Director, Chandigarh through letter number NHM/PB/2020/2070-2313 dated March 6, 2020, there is a complete ban on organising huge gatherings/functions. So keeping in view these directions, work related to issuing disability certificates, dope tests and medical certificates for Amarnath Yatra has been suspended till March 31, 2020. He said that decision regarding future course of action would be taken after assessing the situation after March 31, 2020.
