Jalandhar, May 19, 2017: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya – the premier institute dedicated to the cause of providing its preliminary inquiry report. The report clearly indicates that there is no ragging involved in the entire sequence of missing girl. The snapchat video of fight prepared by students was an immature & irresponsible behaviour of students. It is pertinent to mention that missing student has found from a nearly religious place by police on Wednesday night. The missing student had joined the institution only 3 days back and was already known to the girls with whom she fought. The case is clearly not of ragging but of mutual misunderstanding.

After the incident Principal Prof.Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen formulated an inquiry committee consisted of Dr.Kanwaldeep Kaur, Mrs.Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Ashmeen Kaur. The inquiry committee did their investigation on the basis of statement of students given to Police. They also saw the 24 hour footage of CCTV cameras. They did not find anything suspicious. It is clear from the CCTV footage that the girl left the college campus on Saturday at 12.41 p.m. The CCTV footage was shown to the parents and sister of the girl and they themselves confirmed that the girl had gone out of the campus.

On the active role of media on the whole incident, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that Daughters are the common responsibility. Teachers are showing them the right path. She appealed to everyone to have patience. Principal thanked police administration for their quick action and said that the college has full faith on the proceedings of Police. We are near truth and Police is wonderfully doing their job, she said, adding, that the media should also work as the protector of democracy with moderation.

On Thursday evening the girl along with the family members met Principal in the presence of staff members. She gave her statement in writing to the college in which she clearly wrote that it was not the case of ragging rather it was the results mutual misunderstanding with those girls.
