INDIA alliance protests at Jantar Mantar against CM Arvind Kejriwal's illegal arrest and tampering with his health in jail

New Delhi, July 30,2024: In a powerful show of unity and defiance, the INDIA Alliance staged a massive protest at Jantar Mantar, condemning the alleged illegal arrest and mistreatment of AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Leaders from AAP, Congress, SP, CPI, CPIML, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction), CPM, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), TMC, and other parties stood in solidarity, demanding Arvind Kejriwal's immediate release. During this, CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, stated that the Delhi CM's life is in danger in jail. The INDIA Alliance vehemently decried the charges as politically motivated, rallying behind Arvind Kejriwal in this critical hour.

The protest echoed across several states, the AAP supporters also protested in Assam, Rajasthan, Karnataka, West Bengal, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal, pointed out the conspiracy by the Modi government,

Speaking on the occasion, Sunita Kejriwal said all of you must have understood by now that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been put in jail as part of a deep political conspiracy. First of all, just before the Lok Sabha elections in March, ED put the Delhi CM in jail based on a statement, without any proof. The statement is of NDA Member of Parliament Magunta Reddy. Magunta Reddy had met the CM only once. He had to open a charitable trust in Delhi; he had gone to meet the CM for its land. ED twisted this meeting. ED put the MP's son (Raghav) in jail and kept him in jail for 5 months. Meanwhile, his mother fell ill, his wife tried to commit suicide. Now ED told him (Magunta Reddy) to accuse Arvind Kejriwal that he had asked him for Rs 100 crore.
“A deal was struck between the two, a false statement was made, and Arvind Kejriwal was arrested. Why would ED do this? ED did this because it was done as part of a conspiracy, under pressure. The trial court granted bail to the CM and said that the CM was arrested without any evidence, based on a statement by giving him a lollipop of bail. And he got bail,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal said the central government immediately took two actions. First, ED went to the court of its lawyer's brother and got a stay on this bail. Second, the CBI arrested the CM on the statement of this MP. “The motive is to keep the CM in jail, not let him come out. All this is being done under a political conspiracy,” she said. 
Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind ji has been suffering from diabetes for 22 years, he takes insulin to control his high sugar. When he went to jail, he was not given insulin, he had to go to court to get insulin. “This means that his disease was ignored under a conspiracy,” she said. 
Sunita Kejriwal said Arvind ji has a sensor on his arm and through a reader, it is known what the level of sugar in his body is. A graph keeps forming in this reader, in which the sugar level of the whole day is recorded, and what was the sugar level at what time. Usually, if the sugar level goes below 70 mg/dL, then the patient starts shivering, panics, and sweats. All these are symptoms of low sugar. This happens to the Chief Minister once in 5-6 months at home, then we immediately give him something sweet so that his sugar level rises. “Just a few days ago, we came to know that in jail his sugar level remains continuously low, it has gone below 50 mg/dL five times while sleeping at night. Thank God that nothing untoward happened,” she said. 
Sunita Kejriwal said his (CM’s) life is in great danger and his illness is being ignored as part of a conspiracy. On top of that, the LG has written a letter, in which he accuses the CM of wilfully eating less. What a joke! This means he is putting his own life in danger by eating less. “Then on the other hand the LG also says that the CM is taking less insulin. I would like to tell LG that insulin is needed when the sugar level is high, his sugar is already going below 50, and would he like to end his life by taking insulin. Now you people tell me is this not a conspiracy of the BJP government,” she reasoned.
Sunita Kejriwal said this government is trying to defame a Chief Minister elected by the people by filing fake cases and is playing with his health. Their only motive is to stop the work of Delhi because the Chief Minister does not let the work of the people of Delhi stop in any way, he gets all the work done for the people of Delhi by fighting. The people of Delhi have given 7 MPs to BJP, you ask them what work these BJP MPs have done for Delhi. These people have only one politics: hatred and stopping work. “But your Chief Minister, the Chief Minister of Delhi is not afraid of all these things, he will fight for the people of Delhi, for all the people. I have been with him for 30 years; I know how much passion he has for service, and I hope that all of you will also support him,” she concluded.

Arvind Kejriwal has to take insulin injections daily, still, he is fighting for the country. What was Kejriwal's fault that PM Modi put him in jail? He built schools, and hospitals, and made electricity free. Their investigating agencies are not finding any faults implicating CM Arvind Kejriwal. They have made a rule that you have to prove yourself innocent, then only you will get bail. There is a limit to cruelty. AAP is a party that has started a movement. AAP has made common people MLAs, ministers, chief ministers and thinks about the common people of the country.
Modi government has kept Delhi's Chief Minister, Education Minister and Health Minister in jail without any evidence: Sanjay Singh
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that today our family's head Arvind Kejriwal is in jail. The Modi government has kept Delhi's popular Chief Minister, Education Minister, and Health Minister in jail without any proof or basis. They also kept me in jail for 6 months. Senior Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that every single leader of the Congress is with the AAP in this struggle. First, Arvind Kejriwal was illegally arrested. Then the matter went to court and he was granted bail, but the BJP is so afraid of Arvind Kejriwal that it does not want to let him come out of jail in any way, so the ED got a stay on his bail from the High Court without the court order. Then when he got bail, he was arrested by the CBI. This is nothing but bad policy. A Chief Minister who has been elected with a huge majority has been arrested unconstitutionally. They think that they can break us by arresting us. We had the option of joining the BJP earlier as well, but we did not bow down to it then, nor have we bowed down today, nor will we bow down tomorrow. Modi's cup of sins is full. He has crossed all limits of inhumanity. Arvind Kejriwal's sugar level is falling to dangerous levels. He should have been released on grounds of humanity, but that too is being opposed.
At the same time, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said that if the BJP has the illusion that it can intimidate any opposition leader by using the police administration, then this meeting of the INDIA Alliance has broken this illusion. The Prime Minister says that he has a 56-inch chest, but he hides behind ED-CBI. If the 2024 Lok Sabha elections had been fair, PM Modi would have been in the opposition and we all would have been in power. The ground of the BJP has cracked, no one is afraid of it after the 2024 elections. Today BJP is the most scared.
It is the job of the state government to make policies, for the first time in the history of the country a Chief Minister has been sent to jail for this: Sharad Pawar
NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that Delhiites handed over the power of Delhi to Arvind Kejriwal by giving him a huge majority for three consecutive times. BJP tried hard to win Delhi, but the people showed it its place. Arvind Kejriwal is the head of the people. The people have supported him. Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested only for political purposes because he was working for the public: Akhilesh Yadav

If BJP had learnt a lesson from history, it would not have done foolishness of touching Kejriwal: Ram Gopal Yadav
SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav said that after continuously losing badly in Delhi, the BJP implicated Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain in false cases and put them in jail. But in the end, truth will prevail. Arvind Kejriwal will soon be out of jail and will play a big role in changing the system of the central government. RJD MP Manoj Jha said that this fight is very long. Be it Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Sanjay Singh, or Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. The High Court, while granting bail to Hemant Soren, said that there was not even one percent of their fault. Kejriwal was arrested by CBI as part of a conspiracy so that he could be kept in jail: Dipankar Bhattacharya
CPI (ML) party general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the Modi government is continuously imposing dictatorship throughout the country. The people of India gave their mandate against this dictatorship in the Lok Sabha elections. But despite this, this political conspiracy continues. Six months ago, Arvind Kejriwal and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren were arrested. The BJP had hatched all these conspiracies to steal the Lok Sabha elections. But we saw that despite all the conspiracies, Hemant Soren came out and the Supreme Court considered his bail valid. Similarly, the Supreme Court had also given 20 days bail to Arvind Kejriwal for election campaigning.
“Now that he has got bail from the Supreme Court in the ED case, an attempt is being made to extend his jail term by bringing the CBI forward. All this is being done as part of a conspiracy. First, the Central Government snatched away the rights of the Delhi Government by bringing an ordinance and imposed the dictatorship of LG on Delhi. On one hand, the powers of the government which won with a huge majority in Delhi are being curtailed and on the other hand, a conspiracy was hatched to destabilize Delhi by putting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain in jail in fake cases. Delhi is seeing the result of this today. The Modi Government is completely responsible for the anarchy prevailing in Delhi at this time. The Modi Government took the lives of the students of Delhi,” Dipankar Bhattacharya stated.

Whereas being a citizen of the country, he has the right to get all health facilities in jail. Even his family is not allowed to meet him. What kind of democracy is this? BJP is playing with the lives of Delhiites and Kejriwal, Delhi will not tolerate this: Gopal Rai

During the massive demonstration of the INDIA Alliance organized on the call of the AAP at Jantar Mantar, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann became emotional during his address. During this, he tried hard to control himself, but he could not stop himself and remembering Arvind Kejriwal, his eyes filled with tears. Suddenly Bhagwant Singh Mann became emotional, the supporters present there became angry and raised slogans against the Modi government and BJP. After a few seconds, he controlled himself and finished his address.
Voices raised in support of CM Arvind Kejriwal from different parts of the country
Demonstrations were held in various states of the country against the dictatorship of the Center. AAP workers protest in Jammu and Kashmir. In Pune, Maharashtra, outside the District Magistrate's office, along with the workers of AAP and other parties of INDIA Alliance, a demonstration was held against the hooliganism and atrocities of the BJP. Apart from this, a large number of AAP workers raised their voices against the atrocities being committed against Arvind Kejriwal and the conspiracy to play with his life outside the Income Tax Golambar Office in Patna, Bihar and at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Park near Darshan Lal Chowk in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Apart from this, demonstrations demanding the release of Arvind Kejriwal were also held in other states including Gujarat, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Telangana.
