India wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan admitted to hospital
Got hit on the helmet during 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka at HPCA, Dharamsala on Saturday night
Dharamsala, February 27, 2022: India wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan was admitted to a hospital on Saturday night after getting hit on the helmet during 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka at HPCA, Dharamsala on Saturday night.
A press release of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association issued around 1 AM this morning said, “Ishan Kishan is under examination and investigation after the match (after being hit by the ball) the BCCI medical team and hospital doctors are monitoring him. The medical bulletin will be issued by the team doctors and management tomorrow.”
Kishan sustained a head injury as146 kmph bouncer by Lankan pacer Lahiru Kumara struck on Kishan’s helmet who was attempting to play a pull shot but failed and was taken to Fortis Hospital in Kangra after the match.
Apart from Ishan Kishan,Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal was also taken to the hospital after he endured a thumb injury while fielding in the second T 20 played between India and Sri Lanka at Dharamsala in HP on Saturday.
The third and the final T20 of this series will be played here in Dharamsala on Sunday.
