Indian Dairy Association and Vet Varsity to host Seminar on Benefits of Fermented Dairy Products
The Indian Dairy Association (IDA) North Zone Punjab Chapter, in collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana, is organizing a seminar on "Unveiling the Benefits of Fermented Dairy Products" on June 22, at College of Dairy and Food Science Technology in Vet Varsity.
Ludhiana, June 20, 2024: The Indian Dairy Association (IDA) North Zone Punjab Chapter, in collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana, is organizing a seminar on "Unveiling the Benefits of Fermented Dairy Products" on June 22, at College of Dairy and Food Science Technology in Vet Varsity.
Dr. R.S. Sethi, Dean, College of Dairy & Food Science Technology said that the seminar aims to shed light on the significant role of fermented dairy products in promoting human health. He said that considering the increasing awareness of modern consumers about health benefits of fermented dairy foods in human health, the attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest research findings, nutritional advantages, and potential therapeutic applications of these products.
Inderjit Singh Sara, Chairman of IDA, Punjab Chapter said that this seminar is planned to celebrate the world milk day which is usually celebrated on 1st June every year however, due to the general election in Punjab on 4th June the Punjab chapter of IDA decided to hold it on 22nd June.
Dr. P. K. Singh, Professor of Dairy Technology and Organising Secretary of this seminar said that expert lectures by the renowned experts from the dairy industry, medical professionals and academia on various aspects of fermented dairy products, including their production, nutritional value, and health benefits would be the major highlights of this event besides Q&A Session where the participants will have the chance to interact with the speakers and ask questions to the experts.
Indian dairy association is an apex body of dairy professionals, representing scientists, dairy industry and milk producers from all over India.
The event is expected to attract a diverse audience, including officials from the dairy industry, academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, nutritionists, and consumers interested in learning about the health benefits of fermented dairy products.
