Indian Idol 15: Nana Patekar Takes a Dig at Badshah’s Rap Style, While Idol ki Basanti - Ritika Raj Shines Bright

For the first time on Indian television, the legendary Nana Patekar will grace viewers with his presence on a reality show, on the fan-favourite singing format, Indian Idol 15. Airing on Sony Entertainment Television, the show will celebrate his legacy in a special episode, ‘Bebak Nana’. Promising a spectacular blend of music, fun, and laughter, Nana will be accompanied by the cast of his upcoming film Vanvaas— Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and director Anil Sharma. But it will be Idol ki Basanti, Ritika Raj, who steals the spotlight with her soulful renditions of Bindiya Chamkegi and Leke Pehla Pehla Pyaar, leaving the judges and audience mesmerized.
Adding to the entertainment, Ritika’s mother, came to surprise her as a fan on the episode; like mother, like daughter, the duo chattered away on stage, leading to hilarious exchanges with Nana Patekar. Known for his sharp wit, Nana didn’t hold back from playful banter and the crowd erupted in laughter when he asked, “aap ke alawa ghar main aur kaun hai”, and Ritika’s mother said, “mera beta, aur husband”, and Nana joked, “Woh bol paate hain, kabhi?”. The spotlight, however, turned to Badshah during this light-hearted interaction. When Ritika’s mother curiously inquired about rapping, Nana hilariously mocked the art form, suggesting, “Behenji, aap jo bol rahein hai na, uske peeche agar rhythm de na, to wo bhi rap hi kehlayega.” He even challenged Badshah to perform live, remarking, “Tumhe kabhi suna nahi beta, kis tarah hota hai woh”.
