District level committee approves six cases of industrial units for availing benefits
Ludhiana: A committee headed by Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday approved six cases of industrial units for availing the benefits like net SGST reimbursement, electricity duty, CLU or EDC charges and stamp duty exemption under Industrial and Business Development Policy-2017.
Presiding over a meeting in Bachat Bhawan, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma cleared the cases of Vasu Multi metals Private Limited in village Dugri, K D Fabrics & Processors village in Koom Kalan, Kohara Panama Alloys in village Jugiana, Steeltech Alloys Private Limited in village Ismailpur, Saraswati Agro Industries in village Kauri, Khanna and Grande Green Farms Private Limited in village Chhandrana for the benefits under the policy.
He said that now all the new and expansion or modernization projects can be applied on Business First Portal and all regulatory and fiscal incentives are being ensured in a time-bound manner. He told that the state government has notified an amendment in which all projects up to Rs10 crores investment are approved by District Level Committees.
Deputy Commissioner said that this would boost the morale of the Industry and the arrival of new industries would also open new vistas of employment for youths.
He said the Department of Industries and Commerce has taken this new initiative to promote the business in the state besides providing ease of doing with the required approvals in a time-bound manner.
General Manager DIC Ludhiana Rakesh Kumar Kansal urged the industrialists to avail the benefits of initiative for various regulatory clearances and fiscal incentives through the Business First portal of the Department of Industries and Commerce.
