Industrial bodies thank PSIEC chairman Gogi 

Ludhiana: Today, A delegation of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organization (FICO) under the leadership of Gagnish Singh Khurana Head FICO Agricultural Implements Division and Vikramjeet Singh Rajput President Focal Point Phase VIII associations met and felicitated Gurpreet Bassi, Chairman, PSIEC, for his efforts in extension of Amnesty Scheme to 30.09.2021.

Need not to mention that the last date of Amnesty Scheme to pay enhancement charges for Phase-VIII, Focal point, Ludhiana has been fixed for 30.06.2021 but due to deadly Second wave of COVID and current scenario of Businesses, FICO along with other Industrial bodies has requested for extension in last date of Amnesty Scheme of PSIEC. The matter was under consideration by officials of PSIEC since last week but on Monday the extension was announced till 30.09.2021.

Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO welcomed the decision and said that it is timely and much needed decision as Industry is reeling behind targets due to Covid and unwarranted increase in steel prices which have further worsen the scenario. He further demanded that Chairman Gogi should bring the One Time Settlement for Focal Point Phase VIII Plot Holders in the Rs. 474 per square yard Enhancement Notice, as the work related to the financial institutes is stagnant due to pending enhancement case. 

Focal Point Association Mangli Chairman Surinder Singh briefed the media persons that Gurpreet Bassi have been working at ground level as he has made Concrete roads after joining as PSIEC Chairman and has always paid heed to Industry woes.

Focal Point Mangli President Vikram Singh told that extension was need of the hour as Second wave have affected their businesses very badly and MSME industry is facing crunch of funds.

FICO Agricultural Implements Division Head Gagnish Singh Khurana apprised that during past three months, Labour shortage due to COVID, increase in steel prices have broken the back bone of small-scale industry. The decision of extension in Amnesty scheme will be a breather for the industry.
