Industrial delegation meets Dr Neelama Jerath

Ludhiana, July 23, 2014: A delegation on Wednesday met Dr Neelama Jerath, Executive Director, Punjab State Council for Science & Technology and Member Secretary Punjab State innovation Council.
Delegation thanked to the government for allowing new industry in Ludhiana being the major industrial town & also which is Manchester of India.
delegates suggested to provide funds for up-gradation of bicycle technology, as industry needed quality raw material to compete in world market, raw material like aluminium alloy, carbon fibre, high tensile tubing, un -breakable plastic are need of an hour. They also suggested that low cost automation is required to up-grade the technology.
Jerath assured the delegation that necessary steps will be taken to facilitate the industries & policy interventions for promoting innovations. She also informed that cash price of Rs 50,000 is given to industry which innovates the exclusive new technology.
