Industry demanded design audit of city sewerage system to find root cause of incident
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU paid homage to the 11 people who lost their lives in the incident that happened in Giaspura Ludhiana. He said that the involvement of the industry in this incident has been not proven yet and requested the Govt. to search for the reason behind this gas leak tragedy.

Ludhiana, May 1, 2023: Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU paid homage to the 11 people who lost their lives in the incident that happened in Giaspura Ludhiana. He said that the involvement of the industry in this incident has been not proven yet and requested the Govt. to search for the reason behind this gas leak tragedy.
He also emphasized that some of the departments are targeting Industry for this mishappening. The industry implemented the norms and guidelines issued by the different Govt. departments to run their factories and the reason behind this incident is something different.

During the meeting with Ramesh Kakkar, President, Jaspal Bangar Industrial Association Ahuja assured that a request letter will be sent to the Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana to not harass the industry and resolve the reason behind this tragedy so that it will never happen again.
In this meeting, R.K Gupta, Bhushan Gupta, Gursharan Singh, Jugal Kishore, Piyush Sodhi, Rohit Arora, Namit Mahajan, Mohinder Singh, Sanjay Kapoor and other member were present.
