Ludhiana, April 9, 2015: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute for Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Ludhiana organised an Industrial Visit for the BCA and MCA students to Takshshila- The Skill Development Centre of Trident.

The students were made to interact with the heads and trainers of Trident, IL&FS and Mentor India.

Sukrit Bansal, Head, Mentor India   addressed the students and discussed the roadmap for their arduous journey from institution to industry. He motivated the students to identify their core potentials and keep themselves abreast with the changing technology. He guided the students on how to prepare themselves for the industry. He highlighted that the clear conceptual knowledge, working on live projects, and being self employed through freelancing can go a long way in understanding the real world demands and procuring lucrative jobs in IT sector. Himanshu Jindal, IT professional & Trainer at Trident informed the students about the latest trends in IT sector and encouraged them to get in the habit of applying their theoretical knowledge to practical domains by creating useful websites and mobile apps as part of their projects and assignments. The students were then taken to the campus tour with the intent to imbibe in them the work ethics, seriousness and professionalisms.

A similar initiative was taken for the MBA 2nd and MBA 4th semester students, where they were made to participate in a seminar on “ Development of Interpersonal skills through Transactional Analysis” organized by LMA students Forum at Gulzar Institutes. The seminar was delivered by Dr. M. A Zahir, Former  Dean, Punjab Agriculture University. Dr. Zahir, who is also the Board of Directors of a number of corporates  advised the students to develop the interpersonal skills of problem solving by changing the ego state from which they operate in different situations and with different individuals for best results.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra ,Co-ordinator, GGNIMT, while talking to the media, said that industry interface helps to bridge the gap between institutions and industry and further helps the budding professionals  to get easily settled in their corporate lives.
