Inner Wheel Club Jalandhar celebrated its 46th Charter Day

Jalandhar, May 19, 2023: Inner Wheel Club Jalandhar celebrated its 46th Charter Day at Hotel Regent Park, Jalandhar with great fun and gaiety. Association President Dr.Surjit Kaur was the Chief Guest of the event. PDC Sonika Gupta also accompanied her. 

The meeting was loaded with fun games, gifts, prizes and lucky draws. The meeting started with the formal protocol. Neelu Mohendru sang a beautiful bhajan at the time of lighting the lamp. Floral welcome was  extended to Association President Dr.Surjit Kaur and all the PDCs. Charter Member PDC Jagbans Toor was honoured by the President  Nimmi Chaudhary and she told us how and when this club was formed.

Association President also shared her experiences with the club members and praised a lot about the working of our club. Meeting was very well conducted and managed by MOC Inderkiran Toor along with Kavita Jairath, Sneh Arora, Seema Arora, Anju Sharma and Anita Dheer.

Annual Report was presented by President Nimmi Chaudhary and Secretary PunamJagota.

Club gave three Running Trophies in different categories: Best Project - Rashmi Nanda & Dr.Harjinder; Best Meeting - Kavita Jairath & Sumriti Sharma; Best Member - lnderkiran Toor.

Club members also won all the 'Three Off the Dias Competitions' at Club Officers Training Institution (C O T I), Amritsar.  

President Nimmi Chaudhary won the Second prize for President's file, Punam Jagota won the Third prize for General Body Meeting Agenda and Minutes Category, and Rekha Arora won Second prize for Club Bulletin/News Letter. 

Cake cutting by Charter member, Association President along with PDCs added to the vibrance of the celebration. 

A token of love was given to Dr. Surjit and PDC Sonika.  

The president thanked all the PDCs, Executive Team and members for their cooperation during her tenure with Beautiful Gifts. 

Exciting games were prepared by Anita Chawla and Niru Chawla. 

Various projects of social welfare were carried out on the occasion:

Two Sewing machines were given to needy girls, helped a needy girl on her wedding with clothes and household items, donated water cooler, given sanitary napkins and notebooks, 50 pairs of chappals were given to the ground staff of the hotel and school.

A Vote of thanks was extended by Vice President Niru Chawla.

Meeting was attended by many senior members. 

PDC Kumud Sehgal, PDC Asha Paul, PDC Adarsh Sood, Aruna Gupta, Prem Dhir, Jaswant Minhas, Manjula Sood, Pushpa Arora and many more other members attended the meeting.
