Jalandhar, January 13, 2025: The Lohri celebrations focused on lighting a sacred bonfire symbolizing fertility, prosperity, and good fortune, especially for newborn princess.
Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar celebrated Dhiya Di Lohri at village Dheena under the Presidentship of Punam Jagota. Mothers and daughters joined in the festivities, dancing to Lohri songs, while enjoying treats like Moongfali, Rewari, and Gachak. Blankets and Lohri goodies were given to all, with tea and snacks served to enhance the enjoyment.
The Club also celebrated Lohri with newborn girls at Civil Hospital, distributing 50 sets of warm clothes to babies and donating 20 blankets to the Gyna and ICU wards. The event brought happiness to parents and provided warmth to those in need, making it a truly fulfilling celebrations Members attended the projects were Secretary Inderkiran, Dr Harjinder, Anita Chawla, Rekha Arora, Seema Arora, Sneh Arora, Rajkamal, Dalbir Kaur, Anju Gupta.
