Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar conducted its monthly general body meeting on Tuesday. Teej, Friendship Day, Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day were celebrated under the presidentship of Punam Jagota with great enthusiasm.
Jalandhar, August 6, 2024: Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar conducted its monthly general body meeting on Tuesday. Teej, Friendship Day, Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day were celebrated under the presidentship of Punam Jagota with great enthusiasm.
Each member was dressed in colourful attires. To mark the festivals, members showcased their talent in the form of poems, dances and patriotic songs. A poem on friendship day was recited by Pushpa Arora. A classical raga was sung by Kulwant Kaur Kalsi and Neelu Bhandari. Patriotic song was sung by Anju Sharma and Neelu Mahendra. A beautiful dance performance was given by Harjot Madan, Sumriti Sharma and Tanishka. Nimmi Chaudhary told about duties of ISO and her work.
PDC Jagbans Toor, the senior most member of the club shared her memories and sufferings of Partition time during her travel from Pakistan to India. Competitions like Best Rakhi, Salad and cake making, best dressed for Teej and Independence Day were conducted, and awards were given to the winners.
Finally, members enjoyed Tambola before winding up the meeting.
The program was well conducted by Nidhi Sehgal and Inder Kiran as project directors. ISO IWC of Batala district 308 Susheela attended the meeting and flags were exchanged between both Club ISO’s.
Vice-president Anju Sharma concluded the event by delivering a vote of thanks.
