Jalandhar, August 7, 2024: Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar organized breast-feeding awareness camp at two different hospitals in Jalandhar.
The club organised breast-feeding awareness camp at Vikram Hospital, Jalandhar. Dr. Harjinder Kaur delivered a lecture on importance and benefits of breast-feeding. She said that breastfed babies are healthier, score higher on IQ test and are less prone to various diseases.
The other camp was organized at Chawla Nursing Home, Jalandhar. Dr. Sushma Chawla, Dr. Pratima Mittal and Dr. Deepali Luthra gave valuable talk on the importance and benefits of breast-feeding, nutrition of lactating mothers and babies, and correct techniques of breast-feeding to mothers of the newly born babies. Fruits, biscuits and flavoured milk bottles were distributed to mothers and children present there.
Club President Punam Jagota, Secretary Inderkiran, Dr.Harjinder Kaur, Dr Manisha, Aruna Gupta, Nimmi Chaudhary, Anita Chawla and Rekha Arora were also present.
