Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar organised Independence Day celebration at Chanan Vocational and Training Centre for special children, run by Upinderjeet Kaur.
Jalandhar, August 15, 2024: Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar organised Independence Day celebration at Chanan Vocational and Training Centre for special children, run by Upinderjeet Kaur.
On the occasion, students presented a short but mesmerising performance and National Flag was hoisted. A tricolour cake was cut and langar was served. Milk bottles were served to students. A student has been adopted and all his school expenses will be paid by the club member. A total 20 members were present.
To mark the 78th Independence Day, few projects were carried out under the Presidentship of Punam Jagota and Secretary Inderkiran Toor over the last week. These projects were as under: IKHTIAAR, IWC of Jalandhar planted 80 trees in village Avadan, 30 trees in Rocky Colony, 20 trees at Focal Point and 15 trees at a playground in Garha; a free Dental Camp was organised at SVN School, renowned doctors from Kalra Dental Hub talked about the importance of oral health and hygiene and the doctors gave each student a dental checkup and prescribed medicines to those who needed it; financial aid was provided to a person for artificial limb implantation; and a mixi was given to a cook.
