The Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar, under its ongoing mission of service and empowerment, undertook multiple projects under the leadership of President Punam Jagota.

Jalandhar, April 28, 2025: The Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar, under its ongoing mission of service and empowerment, undertook multiple projects under the leadership of President Punam Jagota.
A Cervical Cancer Awareness Camp was organized at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Jamsher, where Dr. Harjinder educated the girls about cervical cancer, hygiene, and prevention through vaccination. Sanitary pads and stationery were also distributed.
A factory worker who had lost his leg in an accident was supported with an artificial limb by providing financial assistance. With medical oversight, he is now mobile and optimistic about life.
In an adopted school, Tyag Murti Vidya Mandir, new sanitary fittings were installed, including toilet seats for all classes, and broken taps and pipes were replaced. Along with the above-mentioned projects, the IWC also carried out the following initiatives: Four individuals received critical support for eye surgeries. Two stitching centres were opened in collaboration with the Manav Sehyog Society: one at Old Jawahar Nagar and the other at Urban Estate. The club extended help to two underprivileged girls by giving them a bed, warm bedding, suits, sarees, and cash for their weddings. A bicycle was donated to a needy girl. When a local ice cream vendor’s phone was stolen, a member’s grandson, inspired by the values of Inner Wheel, used his piggy bank savings to gift him a new phone.
On Earth Day, the club distributed 170 eco-friendly and floral plants to students and staff at UC Kindies School. A Board with Inner Wheel logo is installed in Model Town Park to introduce and promote Inner Wheel in public.
