Innocent Hearts celebrated Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti and harvest festival Baisakhi
Baisakhi festival was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Nurpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road).

Jalandhar, April 13, 2023: Baisakhi festival was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Nurpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road). Several activities were organized for the students on this occasion. Under the theme 'Swag Punjab Da', students of grades I and II were made to write famous lines related to famous icons of Punjab. The children of grade III participated with great enthusiasm in the Pakhi decoration. Depicting the culture of Punjab under the theme 'Sadda Virsa', students of grade VIII of Heritage Club dressed up in Punjabi costumes enthralled everyone by presenting Punjabi Boliyan and Giddha. Teachers Told the students the historical significance of Baisakhi festival and also mentioned that the importance of Baisakhi festival for Indian farmers.
Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated the spring harvest festival Baisakhi and the birthday of Dr. BR Ambedkar with great fervour. Student-teachers Enna and Shalini made everyone aware about Dr. B.R.Ambedkar's three basic principles of liberty, equality and fraternity and supported equal rights for all Indian citizens in the constitution through Power Point Presentation. A short drama was presented on the topic 'Ambedkar, a Warrior!' against the caste system and untouchability', which was appreciated by all. Giddha and Bhangra presented by the student-teachers made the whole environment entertaining and pleasant.
Sharmila Nakra (Deputy Director, Cultural Affairs) while introducing the students to the rich cultural heritage of Punjab, explained the importance of Baisakhi and highlighted the life of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. She inspired the students to follow the path shown by him.
