Innocent Hearts Celebrates Diwali with Enthusiasm: Students Promote 'Green Diwali, Clean Diwali'
Disha - an initiative run and managed by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical witnessed a grand celebration of Diwali across five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road), Innocent Hearts College of Education, and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions.
Jalandhar, October 30, 2024: Disha - an initiative run and managed by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical witnessed a grand celebration of Diwali across five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road), Innocent Hearts College of Education, and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions.
Students from pre-school to college level participated in various activities, promoting eco-friendly and cultural expression. The events included Candle and diya decoration,Puja thali decoration,Wall hanging craft, Toran making, Glass aromatic candle making and Rangoli making.
The class teachers emphasized on Diwali's spiritual and social significance, to encouraged students to follow Lord Rama's ideals and adopt pollution-free celebrations.
Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions celebrated Diwali focusing on sustainability and traditional values. The 'Green Diwali' theme promoted eco-friendly practices through creative competitions.
NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an 'Anti-Cracker Campaign' in Loharan village, raising awareness about firecrackers' harmful effects on human health and the environment.
Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry Director CSR , Innocent Hearts Group, emphasised on Diwali celebrations with responsibility towards society , promoting natural decorations, and avoiding firecrackers for a 'Green Diwali'. She urged everyone to respect the environment through mindful celebrations, aligning with 'Disha's' mission of holistic and sustainable development.
