Jalandhar, January 31, 2025: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions (IHGI), Loharan, marked the vibrant festival of Basant Panchami with a celebration that beautifully blended cultural heritage, intellectual pursuits, and environmental consciousness. organized by the Cultural Committee in collaboration with DISHA – an Initiative, the event embraced the Theme – "Festival of Knowledge, Spring, and New Beginnings", reinforcing the values of learning, artistic expression, and sustainability.
The main attraction of the event was spreading awareness on "Saying No to Chinese Thread – A Step Towards SDG-13", educating students on the harmful effects of synthetic manjha and encouraging eco-friendly alternatives. The celebration commenced with a soulful Maa Saraswati Vandana, invoking wisdom and knowledge. A mesmerizing dance performance by Mehak Jain captivated the audience, followed by an enlightening speech by dignitaries emphasizing the significance of Basant Panchami and the urgent need for sustainable practices in kite flying.To promote creativity, innovation, and environmental responsibility, a series of competitions and cultural activities were conducted, offering students a platform to exhibit their skills in writing, art, and sustainability-focused crafts.

The celebration concluded with the opening of a food stall and the distribution of traditional sweets, fostering a sense of togetherness and joy.
