Innocent Hearts Group of Institution and College of Education celebrated International Women’s Day with full zeal and gusto. On this occasion a seminar with the theme “Empowering Women” and two competitions namely Fancy Dress and Floral Rangoli were organized.
Jalandhar, March 7, 2023: Innocent Hearts Group of Institution and College of Education celebrated International Women’s Day with full zeal and gusto. On this occasion a seminar with the theme “Empowering Women” and two competitions namely Fancy Dress and Floral Rangoli were organized.
The guest speaker for the seminar was Himani Mittal (Marketing Head, Madhuban Educational Books). The objective of the session was to acquaint the students with the power of the intellectual mind.
Himani focused on the need for gender equity along with gender equality in society. She stated that women and men both cannot compete with each other, they complement each other in this universe. Ms. Himani also highlighted the importance of empowering the mind of both men and women for a balanced growth of life.
To celebrate Feminism, The student-teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education, participated in Fancy Dress and Floral Rangoli competition under the essence of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ program. Participants dressed up in graceful traditional garments to represent cultural diversity under the theme “Every Woman is a manifestation of the divine power”. Their postures and style presented the beauty and pride of the Indian feminine. Colourful rangoli were designed by the participants to showcase a close touch with their culture.
Medhavi and Sonam grabbed the first position in the fancy dress competition. In the Floral Rangoli competition, Pragya, Diksha, Nitika, and Shalini (Sem II) and Vishali and Nandini (Sem IV) achieved first position.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh appreciated the winners and all the participants were given certificates. Dr. Shailesh Tripathi (Group Director) presented a vote of thanks to the guest speaker Himani for sharing her valuable thoughts and experience with students on this special day.
