Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions Organized Workshop on Research & Academic Writing
The Research and Development Cell of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions conducted a workshop on "The Art and Science of Academic Writing." The session aimed to enhance students' ability to write review and research papers, equipping them with essential academic writing skills. A total of 45 students participated, including 39 from the School of Medical Sciences and 6 from the School of Management.

Jalandhar, February 14, 2025: The Research and Development Cell of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions conducted a workshop on "The Art and Science of Academic Writing." The session aimed to enhance students' ability to write review and research papers, equipping them with essential academic writing skills. A total of 45 students participated, including 39 from the School of Medical Sciences and 6 from the School of Management.
The workshop was led by Dr. Swati Arora, PhD in Bioinformatics and Co-founder & Co-director of Thyme Phyto Biomed Pvt. Ltd., along with a research scholar. They provided valuable insights into the differences between review and research papers, explaining how review papers summarize existing literature while research papers present original findings. Dr. Arora also guided students through the structure of a research paper, covering key sections such as abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references. In addition, the session shed light on the publication process, including journal selection, manuscript preparation, peer review, revisions, and final publication. Dr. Arora emphasized the importance of ethical research practices, avoiding plagiarism, and using reputed indexing databases like Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science to increase the visibility of academic work.
The workshop provided students with practical knowledge on structuring academic papers, conducting effective literature reviews, and adhering to scholarly writing standards. This initiative not only strengthened their academic foundation but also prepared them for future research opportunities and professional growth.
