Jalandhar, March 8, 2025: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions and College of Education celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm, aligning with the theme "Accelerate Action to Support Women Advancement."
The event, organized by the Cultural Committee in collaboration with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), was held at Saffron Restaurant, HM Building, IHGI Campus, Loharan.The event featured a thought-provoking session, "Be All-Rounder," where speakers delved into the meaning of empowerment in academics and personal growth, emphasizing the significance of education and leadership in shaping a brighter future for women.
A major highlight of the celebration was the insightful address by Sharmila Nakra, Deputy Director - Cultural Affairs, captivated the audience with a powerful poetry recital on Women Empowerment, inspiring attendees to contribute toward a more inclusive society.
The NSS Unit & Red ribbon club of Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated the day under the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ program. “Every Woman is a manifestation of divine power”, incorporating this theme a fancy dress fusion was organized. The would-be teachers wore graceful cultural garments representing different cultural patterns of various states of our country. Their dialogues were a reminiscence of great Indian women personalities. Janvi Arora achieved the title of Miss Rajasthani rave, Purnima Sethi achieved the title of Gujarati grace, Gursimran Kaur grabbed Kashmiri kindness title, Simrandeep Kaur bagged Miss Punjaban title and Manmeet Kaur bagged Miss Punjabi pride title. Their postures and elegance depicted Indian feminine beauty and pride. Through this initiative, Innocent Hearts reaffirmed its commitment to fostering gender equality and creating opportunities for women to thrive and succeed.
