Innocent Hearts organized many activities on `World Health Day’
Under ‘Disha- Ek Initiative' run by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, World Health Day was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts
Jalandhar, April 7, 2022: Under ‘Disha- Ek Initiative' run by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, World Health Day was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road). A special prayer meeting was organized on this occasion whose purpose was to make the children aware about health, cleanliness and food habits. Various activities were conducted under the theme 'Our Planet, Our Health'. Dental checkup camp was organized for children in the school campus, in which specially experienced and qualified doctors were invited whose names are as follows - Dr. Bhawna Gaba, Dr. Himani Garg, Dr. Chhabra, Dr. Sukomal, Dr. Sana, Dr. Ishita Sharma and Dr. Shweta Rai. They made the children health conscious and said that they must brush their teeth before meals in the morning and after meals at night.
Special tips were given to the children to take care of nose and ears at Royal World Branch by Dr. Amit Gupta from Shrimann Hospital.
The children were motivated by the science teachers to consume healthy food like milk, curd, green vegetables and fresh fruits. They were also told to drink plenty of water and wash their hands thoroughly with soap before eating food. Fancy dress competition was also organized for the children. Some tips on healthy diet were shared by the teachers. Nutritious and healthy food was prepared and presented by the students. The students gave a demonstration on healthy diet that how diseases develop in the absence of healthy and nutritious diet and it is necessary to take nutritious diet to overcome these deficiencies.
All the school Principals told the children that cleanliness plays an important role in building a healthy society. That is why 'World Health Day' is celebrated all over the world on 7th April to make people health conscious.
