Innocent Hearts students establish superiority in chess tournament

Jalandhar, April 26, 2018: Innocent Hearts Green Model Town student Utkrisht Tuli made his institution proud by attaining the third position while Roshang Verma of Loharan Branch came fourth in the Under 9 category in the District Level Chess Championship. Tanish Gupta (G.M.T.) of the Under 17 category stood fourth in the championship. This championship was conducted by the Jalandhar Chess Association in C.T. World School on 21st and 22nd April 2018 in which 100 children of various schools participated. Utkrisht Tuli, Roshang and Tanish Gupta have been selected for the state level Chess Championship to be held on 28th and 29th July 2018 in Amritsar while Tanish Gupta will also play in Bathinda on 18th and 19th July. All three children are excellent students who are very good in studies as well as in sports.
Director Principal Mr. Dheeraj Banati congratulated the students and their parents, H.O.D. Sports Mr. Sanjeev Bhardwaj and coach Mr. Chandresh and wished them luck for success in the next level competition. Academic Secretary of the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust Dr. Anup Bowry appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them for the next level assuring them of a concession in their tuition fee.
