Inspiring the Next Generation: Sanjay Singh Urges Youth to Embrace Politics for a Better Tomorrow at PCTE's 25th Year Celebration

Ludhiana, September 6, 2023: “If you are concerned about your hospitals, roads, schools, policies, and you want to bring about a change, then join politics. If the youth of the country shuns away politics, then who will govern and bring about good policies and a progressive change?” This was the highlight of the message by Sanjay Singh, Member of Parliament, while addressing about 500 students at PCTE Group of Institutes, a renowned institution of higher learning at Ludhiana, Punjab today. Sanjay Singh, is an Indian politician who has served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Delhi since 2018. He is the national spokesperson for the Aam Aadmi Party and the state-in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan. 

PCTE enters its 25th year in September this year and to mark this occasion esteemed politicians Mr. Sanjay Singh and Mr. Sushil Kumar Rinku were invited to talk to students about leadership and overcoming challenges in life. This significant occasion brings together academia and public service to commemorate a quarter-century of academic excellence, innovation, and community impact. Sushil Kumar Rinku is also an Indian politician and a member of Aam Aadmi Party. He is a member of parliament from the Jalandhar (Lok Sabha constituency).

Sanjay Singh, who was the keynote speaker offered insights on the importance of education and its role in shaping future leaders. On Leadership, he discussed the way leaders can shape the path to success and the manner in which they can use their expertise to help in dealing with the challenges. Also, he said that, “leaders have the responsibility to balance their power with a commitment to the greater good and a focus on long-term sustainability.” Further, he engaged with students and addressed the critical issue of “Corruption in Politics.” He discussed the youth power and encouraged students to tackle such issues so that politics can work for the betterment of society, in general.
