Installation ceremony of Poonam Jagota and her executive team

Jalandhar, July 4, 2024: The installation ceremony of Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar was held with great enthusiasm, as the new team of the club took off the reigns from the outgoing team. The installing officers were PDC’s and chief guest for the occasion was Bhavna Jain, a renowned social worker. 

In the beginning, a beautiful bhajan was sung by Kulwant Kaur Kalsi. Floral welcome was extended to the chief guest by President & secretary. Nimmi Chaudhary also extended a floral welcome to PDCs.

The meeting took off to a ceremonial start as Neelu Mohendra recited Sholakas during the lightning of the lamp. 

President Dr. Harjinder Kaur gave a very emotional farewell speech and expressed her thanks to all the members and senior members of the Club for their support and cooperation throughout the year. She decorated the new President Poonam Jagota with Collar and also handed over the Club charter to her.

The incoming team received their lapel pins as a part of the official installation ceremony. These were as under: Poonam Jagota – President; Anju Sharma - Vice-President; Dr.Harjinder Kaur – IPP; Inderkiran – Secretary; Kavita Jairath – Joint Secretary; Seema Arora – Treasurer; Nimmi Chaudhary – ISO; Rekha Arora – Editor and Niru Chawla – CCCC.

President briefed all about the projects executed on Doctor's Day 1st July and discussed forthcoming projects of the month and year. President’s biodata was read by Seema Arora and Sneh Arora formally introduced the Chief guest in lovely words.

Plants were distributed to the member having birthdays or anniversaries falling in the months of June and July.

Anita Chawla presented various projects of social welfare which were carried out on the occasion. 14 projects were done in all. These include, annual and monthly fees of 30 needy students was given in five educational institutions; 1 cycle, 1 Refrigerator, two coolers, toiletries and 7 ceiling fans were given to the needy; Animal fodder given at Gaushala; and medical help to an army aspirant was given. Total amount spent on projects was Rs.1,69,500.

Charter member PDC Jagbans Toor honored outgoing President Dr. Harjinder Kaur and Secretary Anju Sharma. She also gave her valuable insights and blessings to the new team.

Chief guest praised the projects done by the Inner Wheel Club and provided her valuable insights.

A token of love was presented to the Chief guest by President and Secretary.

The MOC of the event was Niru Chawla and she handled the stage very graciously
36 members attended the event.

At last Anju Sharma extended a vote of thanks to all on behalf of the Club members.
