INSTALLATION OF SANITATION TUNNEL AT ENTRY GATE OF RCF KAPURTHALA
MANDATORY FOR SANITATION OF EVERY VEHICLE
Kapurthala: A Sanitization Tunnel has been established at the entry gate of Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala. Sanitisation has been made mandatory for every vehicle to enter the RCF. This is in compliance to the the guidelines issued by State Government for providing clean and healthy environment in RCF campus. The tunnel has helped in sanitization of all the material coming from outside possible.
The length of this sanitation tunnel is 12 feet, width 14 feet and height 16 feet. In this, sodium hypochlorite chemical is being used to sanitize by spray. It takes 3 to 4 minutes for every vehicle for sanitisation. There are sensors in the tunnel that start spray when the vehicle enters and the spray automatically stops when the vehicle exits.
RCF's Plant Department worked hard to develop the sanitation tunnel and in applauding its efforts, RCF General Manager Mr. Ravindra Gupta has announced a cash award for the Plant Department.
It should be noted that the Rail Coach Factory has started production of rail coaches with limited manpower from 23.04.2020 and two days ago RCF rolled out high capacity LHB parcel van and LHB luggage brake cum generator car coaches.
A partial strength of 3744 employees and officers of RCF are working in various shifts. Initially, all officers and staff residing in RCF Colony have been called for work. Each employee has been given a kit which has face masks, liquid sanitizer, soap and safety guidelines related to precautions. /(Rajat Kumar,Jalandhar)
