Inter Cambridge School for Girls Fantasia of Melody and Rhythm 2016 Concludes

Jalandhar, July 30, 2016: Striving for Excellence the Cambridge International School for Girls hosted the two days event of Inter Cambridge Performing Arts- Fantasia of Melody and Rhythm on July 29 and 30.

Teams from six schools of Cambridge family were the proud participants namely: Cambridge International Foundation School Jalandhar, Cambridge International School Co-ed Jalandhar, Cambridge International School Phagwara, Cambridge International School Kapurthala, Cambridge International School Nawanshahar and Cambridge International School for Girls Jalandhar.

Music competition (Vocal, Instrumental) was conducted on the 2nd day of the competition (30th July 2016).

The participants were divided into three categories:
• Budding Stars( Grade I to IV)
• Blooming Performers (V to VIII)
• Versatile Artists (IX to XII)

The dignitaries who graced the occasion were Chairman Mr. Ajay Bhatia, the Vice-chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia, the Executive Director of LWES Mr. J.K.Kohli, Member of LWES Mr. Nitin Kohli, the Principal of CISFG Ms.Deepa Dogra, the Principal Cambridge International School Co-ed Mr. Stanley Anthony, the Principal Cambridge International School Kapurthala Ms. Aarti Dada, the Principal Cambridge International School Nawanshahr Ms. Sonia Walia, the Principal Cambridge International School Phagwara Mr. Jorawar, the secretariats Ms.Preeti Sharma, Ms. Meenu Huria and Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon and the Co-ordinators of the host school.

A panel of highly qualified, competent judges judged the performances under set criteria of judgment to make it more objective.

Ms. Laxmi Prabha from Police D.A.V. Jalandhar and Mr. Paramjit from DIPS, Urban Estate Phase II, Jalandhar, were the honourable judges for the Music Competition (30th July 2016).
The award ceremony took place on both the days and the performers were awarded medals and certificates.
The judgment was based on point system to ensure fair decision.
1st Position – 3 Points
2nd Position – 2 Points
3rd Position – 1 Point

The result of the Music Vocal competition was as follow:

• Budding stars:
1st position was bagged by Cambridge International School Co-ed
2nd position was taken by Cambridge International School, IB
3rd position was earned by Cambridge International School, Kapurthala & Nawanshahr

• Blooming Performers :
1st position was bagged by Cambridge International School for Girls
2nd position was taken by Cambridge International School, Co-ed
3rd position was earned by Cambridge International School,Nawanshahr

• Versatile Artists :
1st position was bagged by Cambridge International School for Girls
2nd position was taken by Cambridge International School, Co-ed
3rd position was earned by Cambridge International School, Nawanshahr
The result of the Music Instrumental competition was as follow:
1st position was bagged by Cambridge International School for Girls
2nd position was taken by Cambridge International School, Co-ed
3rd position was earned by Cambridge International School, Phagwara

The Overall Trophy was awarded entirely based on point system to ensure a fair decision.
Cambridge International School for Girls bagged the Overall Trophy achieving.

The Principal of the Cambridge International School for Girls Ms. Deepa Dogra, in her inspiring speech, lauded the performance of all the teams and congratulated them.

The closing ceremony took place on 30th July 2016 amidst the resounding applause by the audience followed by the reverberating singing of the School Song and the National Anthem.
