Jalandhar, September 30, 2024: 2 Punjab NCC Girls Battalion is conducting a ten-day, round-the-clock annual training camp at Lovely Professional University. 600 NCC cadets are participating in it. 

Colonel MS Sachdev Camp Commandant informed that 96 cadets of NCC Directorate have come from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh to the camp. They are participating in the versatile personality development program. Selection process is going on for the Republic Day camp. In this camp, 250 cadets of six battalions of Jalandhar Group are participating. The competitions include drill, cultural competition, firing and written test. Colonel Sachdev Camp Commandant further informed that 200 girl cadets of 2 Punjab Girls Battalion are also a part of the camp for whom many military classes like drill, map, compass, battle drill, battle craft, communication are being conducted. Many central classes are also being conducted in the camp. 

Honorary Colonel Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Vice Chancellor, Lovely Professional University expressed her happiness for the Army and NCC for conducting the camp wholeheartedly. Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer 2 Punjab NCC conducted a three-hour lecture on personality development and method of commissioning in armed forces through SSB for the cadets. The cadets asked many inquisitive questions. 

Lt. Colonel SK Singh, Deputy Camp Commandant was involved in all the training and competitions. Five ANOs, three GCIs, twenty Indian Army and Air Force inspectors are deployed for conducting the camp so that the personality development and military training of the cadets can be given the best.
