The Office of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) and India Post jointly organised an “Interactive Session on Export Promotion Initiatives by India Post” at Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, October 24, 2024: The Office of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) and India Post jointly organised an “Interactive Session on Export Promotion Initiatives by India Post” at Ludhiana.

Shailendra Kumar, ASPO'S BNPL (Center) Ludhiana, India Post during his interaction with participating delegates said that, “India Post has always tried to connect with the public through its multifaceted services. It has always been the endeavour of the Postal Department to deliver the postal packages safely to the destination in the least possible time. Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (DNK) is an important initiative of the Department of Posts and CBIC, wherein the small exporters  now can easily send their overseas consignments hassle free and can also electronically file their Postal Bill of Export online. The facilities under Dak Niryat Kendra (DNK) will also give a push to the One District-One Product initiative. DNK extend export services with automated IGST Refund and electronic payment reconciliation facility and has been set up to provide Single Window Facility to exporters to book their articles and complete all formalities from single counter in post office via online mode.  

He also added that, “Under the DNK set up, services like: Online order booking, free pick up from clients location, last mile online update on website and hand holding for first time filing the orders, last mile deliver update has been added to make the whole process simple & user friendly. Along with the newly launched DNK initiative, India Post is also offering various other Post Office Saving Schemes with other advantages to common people and is privileged to have around 35 crore saving accounts in the country”.

While addressing participants Shri Utpal Kumar Charya, ITS, Joint DGFT Regional Authority, said that, “The India's e-commerce industry has a lot of potential, with a number of factors contributing to its growth, such as India has the world's second-largest internet user base,  low-cost internet service is helping to drive the growth of e-commerce and many more. Looking at this, the government is also backing technologies like UPI, RuPay, DigiLocker, and e-KYC to promote more digital transactions, which will further augment the e-commerce potential in India. Further the technologies like augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are expected to revolutionize the e-commerce experience for both sellers and buyers. The initiative like Dak Niryat Kenra (DNK) taken by the India Post are going to be big step forward in taking Indian products globally and becoming an important shareholder in global market as well as in the global & domestic e-commerce chain”.

Vinay Sharma, Deputy Director, FIEO also said that, “The initiatives like One District One Product, District as Export Hub, Dak Niryat Kendra various new incentive under the recent Government of India’s Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) are aimed at increasing India’s exports by all possible means. When most of the countries are facing challenges in their economies, high inflation rates other reserve issues, our Indian economy is showing positives in present scenario, recent trade data also reflects this too. Now, if Indian companies with support and some export incentive schemes from Government of India can do wonders and we as a country could become an important member of global supply chain in times to come”.

Navneet Dhir, Ravi Malhotra, Manpreet Singh, Marketing Team (BNPL Center/ DNK Center Ludhiana) India Post’s made a details live demonstration on dak Niryat Kendra Portal and addressed various quires. The session was attended by close to 40 delegates representing various sectors.
