Chandigarh, September 21, 2024: As part of the ongoing Poshan Maah celebrations, an insightful session on the theme ‘Nourish to Flourish: Mindful Eating and Budget Smart Snacking’ was conducted by Anupreet Kaur Sobti, Ph.D. Research Scholar, Department of Foods and Nutrition, Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, for students residing in the hostel.

The interactive session provided a platform for students to discuss their nutrition and diet-related concerns. Key topics covered included strategies to adopt mindful eating practices, budget-friendly snacking tips, and solutions to common dietary challenges faced by students. 

The session also highlighted healthy eating options in restaurants and cafés across the Tricity, guiding students to make smarter food choices when eating out. Valuable tips on managing breakfast, staying hydrated, and maximizing nutrition on a student budget were also shared. Students were informed about the free diet clinic offered by the college, aimed at providing personalized diet plans and consultations. 

Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of Government Home Science College, appreciated the efforts of the scholar, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in promoting healthy lifestyles among students during Poshan Maah celebrations.
