Interim budget not populist: Manjit Singh Matharoo

Ludhiana, February 17, 2014: Reacting to interim budget of the Centre, Manjit Singh Matharoo, General Secretary, Association of Ludhiana Machine tool Industries, has said, “We had expected a populist budget. Fortunately it is not. Reduction in excise across the board will boost demand surely and help the manufacturing sector gain some lost ground.”
Adding, he said iInvestment in skill development and increase in defense will also help offset the sluggish growth.
