Internal Smart India Hackathon held at PU

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at UIET, Panjab University in collaboration with PU-IIC, Design Innovation Centre (DIC) and Panjab University Incubation Centre (PUIC), organized an exhilarating Internal Smart India Hackathon – 2024, symbolizing the University's commitment to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.

Internal Smart India Hackathon held at PU

Chandigarh, September 9, 2024: Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at UIET, Panjab University in collaboration with PU-IIC, Design Innovation Centre (DIC) and Panjab University Incubation Centre (PUIC), organized an exhilarating Internal Smart India Hackathon – 2024, symbolizing the University's commitment to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.

Internal Hackathon served as a catalyst event for participants to kick start their preparations for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024. 

Prof. Sanjeev Puri, Director UIET, Panjab University motivated and lauded the students' passion and ingenuity, emphasizing the pivotal role of problem-solving in driving societal change. 

Total of 64 teams comprising 384 students competed on 82 different themes as per the problem statements defined by MoE’s Innovation Cell/AICTE. The teams were evaluated by 7 panels composed of experts from Panjab University and CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. All the experts gave valuable feedback to improve the quality of the proposals.
