International Day of Yoga festival to be started in P U from 18 June
A four-day special yoga festival is being started in Panjab University, Chandigarh by NSS from 18 June on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
Chandigarh June 17, 2022: A four-day special yoga festival is being started in Panjab University, Chandigarh by NSS from 18 June on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The coordinator of this program and NSS programme officer Dr. Richa Sharma giving information said that different activities will be organized for four days in this yoga festival. She said that Yoga is very important for our life because if we want to lead a healthy life then we have to adopt Yoga in our daily routine. She said that only through yoga we can keep our body completely healthy and can protect our body from terrible diseases. She told that during this four-day special program, on the first day, all NSS volunteers will be addressed by yoga experts on the topic of yoga, how we can do yoga during our everyday routine. On the second day of this program, a Yoga program was organized to promote and spread Yoga.The purpose of which is to make common people aware of yoga and connect them with yoga. On the third day of the program, a one-day workshop will be organized on the subject of Yoga. In which yoga experts will give information to all the students about how yoga can be done well and on the last day of this yoga festival, all the volunteers will celebrate International Yoga Day by doing yoga in the Gymnasium Hall of Panjab University. The chief patron of this program was NSS Program Coordinator.
Prof. Ashwani Kaul extended best wishes to the organizers for organizing this event and said that NSS department is in full swing to celebrate International Yoga Day.
