The Department of Education Panjab University in collaboration with Bath Spa University, England, UK organised an International group reading and discussion on the topic “A Decolonial feminist Research Methodologies” in hybrid mode.

Chandigarh, August 16, 2024: The Department of Education Panjab University in collaboration with Bath Spa University, England, UK organised an International group reading and discussion on the topic “A Decolonial feminist Research Methodologies” in hybrid mode.
Dr. Vandna Singh from Bath Spa University, Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur and Prof. Kuldeep Kaur facilitated the event. An active response from participants from India and the UK was seen during the discussion. The scholars and speakers expressed concern over research methodologies' colonial nature. The gender biases and bureaucratic processes in research affect the real purpose of the study in social sciences. The whole research process should be based on the attitude of cocreation, collaboration and power equity.
The workshop led to serious discussion at the end.
