Ludhiana, May 11, 2024: Dayanand Medical College & Hospital proudly commemorates International Nurses Day, honouring the invaluable contributions and unwavering dedication of nurses in healthcare.
Present at the event were Bipin Gupta, Secretary, Managing Society, Mukesh Kumar, Treasurer, managing society, Dr GS Wander, Principal, DMC&H, Dr Ashwani Chudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma, Dr Bishav Mohan, Medical Suptd.s, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean, DMC&H, Dr Triza Jiwan, Principal, College of Nursing, Dr GS Brar, DMC&H Cancer care centre and other administrators.
Throughout the week-long celebration, students of DMCH College of Nursing and nurses from the institute came together to showcase their talents and pay homage to the nursing profession. The event featured captivating dance performances, poignant poetry recitations portraying the life and challenges faced by nurses, and a heartfelt skit illustrating the remarkable contributions of nurses during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, Managing Society, expressed gratitude, emphasizing the indispensable role nurses play in the healthcare system, attributing the success of DMC&H to the dedication of its nursing staff.
Dr. GS Wander, Principal, DMC&H, conveyed profound appreciation to the nursing staff, stating, "On this International Nurses Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to our nurses for their unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise are truly inspiring, and we are immensely grateful for their selfless service."
The DMCH College of Nursing organized a plethora of events throughout the week, fostering a spirit of creativity and camaraderie among students. Activities included rangoli making, modeling, glass painting, college song performances, group dances, cooking competitions, best out of waste challenges, mono-acting, poem recitations, photography collages, and engaging quiz competitions, all met with enthusiasm and zeal by participating students.
