International Tiger Day

Global Tiger Day, often called International Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation. International Tiger Day is celebrated every year on July 29th as a way to raise awareness about this magnificent but endangered big cat. The day was founded in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022.

The day was founded in 2010, when the 13 tiger range countries came together to create Tx2 – the global goal to double the number of wild tigers by the year 2022. 

2016 marks the halfway point of this ambitious goal and this year has been one of the most united and exciting Global Tiger Days. The International Tiger Day 2024 has brought good news on the wild tiger front where Bhutan and India have released their latest numbers which have doubled since 2010.

The celebration of wild tiger as a symbol of bio diversity and human - wildlife was enthusiastically organized at the campus of IVY World School, Jalandhar under the aegis of the Vasal Education Society witnessed a vibrant display of creativity.  The event was held on 25th July 2024. To promote this cause our Iviyans took part in many interesting activities ranging from book mark making, tiger craft puppets, poster making to face painting. The students also conducted tiger word search quiz, Declamation and debates where the young leaders spoke about ‘Save Tigers’ and shared important facts about tigers and their pivotal role in balancing & maintaining the ecosystem. They expressed how these wild life species will be on the verge of extinction if we don’t join hands to save them.

The President, Vasal Education Society, K K Vasal, The Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, The Vice President Ena Vasal, The CEO Raghav Vasal and The Director, Aditi Vasal appreciated all the efforts made by the students in making the International Tiger Day event a great success.

The Principal and Faculty saluted the efforts and appreciated how successfully Iviyans fulfilled the aim of creating environmental responsible global citizens. 

The celebration of International Tiger  Day thus contributed to the overall holistic development of the students.
