Interview with Gaurav Sharma who will be essaying role of Pushkar aka Pappu in Naadaniyan

Naadaniyan is a hilarious story of the “Verma” family based in Delhi. With each having a different perspective in life, the story revolves around Naman Verma aka Nandu, his wife Chandini and brother Pushkar Verma aka Pappu. With a self-proclaimed writer, a push-over wife and a clumsy younger brother, one can expect nothing but a laugh riot from this family!
To be aired starting 9th September on BIG MAGIC, Nadaaniyaan is a remake of the popular Pakistani sitcom.
In conversation with Gaurav Sharma who will be essaying the role of Pushkar aka Pappu in the serial:
?    Tell us about your role in Nadaaniyaan?
Im playing Pushkar aka Pappu, a fun loving happy-go-lucky character who aspires to be an actor. In the process he comes across nothing more than a wannabe Bollywood enthusiast!
?    How does it feel to be a part of this show?
I've always done different roles and comedy is something that I enjoy the most. Naadaaniyan is different from other comedy shows and I am really very happy to be part of this.  
?    Naadaaniyaan was very popular in Pakistan. Have you managed to watch the original sitcom?
I've always been a fan of Pakistani plays like Buddha Ghar Pe Hai, Bakra Kishton Pe etc. While we were in a workshop preparing for the character, I was shown an episode of the original show and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Post this, I browsed through a few more episodes online and it's definitely worth watching over and over again.
?    What is the most interesting thing about your character Pappu? How did you prepare for this role?
He's a true opportunist. He does wrong things and if he gets caught he simply blames it on someone else! I read the script, watched a few episodes of the original series and observed the character. The character is not loud, and I had to strike a fine balance so that Pappu doesn’t come across as a very overexcited and over the top character. Now I keep thinking like Pappu and act like him off screen too!
?    What kind of comedy do you like?

?    Who do you think has the best comic timing in the industry?

?    What according to you will make audiences connect with your character?
He's the biggest dramebaaz and his draamebaazi will surely connect him with the audience.

?    Are you working on any other projects besides this?
I am also working on a Hindi movie with Vinod Pande Entertainment for which we have already completed the first schedule. The movie is titled Din Ke Andhere Mein (In the Darkness of the Daylight). I am playing a young wrestler who is an important character in the movie. The Story is based in Haryana and we will be filming the second schedule soon.
